Håbo-Tibbles working group on the prevention the sludge stored in the resort!
We are a working group that is added to prevent a middle storage of sludge to be built on a hill near Håbo-Tibble.
The background is that the wastewater treatment plant Käppala at Länsstyrelsen i Stockholms län (the County Administrative Board of Stockholm) has done an environmental assessment and approved the placement of a transparent storage contrary to the wishes of both the municipality and the local inhabitants.
The Working Group earlier this year, on January 28, lodged an appeal with Mark- och Miljödomstolen (Land and Environmental Court) to put a stop to the establishment.

We in Håbo-Tibble need unpolluted water in our wells
Sewage sludge contains a variety of toxins, drug residues, nanoparticles, etc. that science may not know how they affect us in the future. It is then a pure madness to sewage sludge, both may be stored and disseminated in nature before we know more about how these substances affect us, our animals and our common nature.
That, as in Sweden almost unchecked spread this filth in our fields and our farms where it will then be grown food is unimaginably.
Chalmers, one of Sweden's foremost distinguished universities in this research recently demanded a total halt to Sweden's current sewage sludge and notes in his research while that Sweden is the worst in western Europe to take care of their own sewage sludge.
There are options that recycle nutrients and other components that are of interest to capitalize on the sludge but since this would result in a cost increase of 3-5%, this is irrelevant to those in power.
As a curiosity we can mention that the largest facility that takes care of sewage sludge in Europe and recycles nutrients, etc. located in Hamburg and owned by Vattenfall.
Vattenfall is owned by the Swedish state.

We won!
The working group submitted to the court so strong argument that the wastewater treatment plant backed down and withdrew his request to build the sludge storage.
